Germanium lens

Germanium is a versatile infrared material commonly used in imaging systems and instruments in the 2 to 12 microns spectral region.It is non-hygroscopic and non-toxic, has good thermal conductivity, excellent surface hardness and good strength.It is used as a substrate for lenses and windows in the 8 to 12 or3 to 5 microns spectral region.

The coating:  Anti-Reflection Coatings ,AR Coating  @ 10.6µm;BBAR Coating  @ 8-12µm;Diamond-Like Coating@ 8-12µm
